Vasiliki D. Stoumbos, M.D.
Offices: Good Samaritan, Seaside
Born and raised in Portland, Dr. Stoumbos earned her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University, followed by her medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Her residency in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology brought her back to Portland to Oregon Health & Science University.
In 1998, 2001 and again in 2006, Dr. Stoumbos teamed up with Medical Teams International and fellow OES physicians to provide medical mission work in Oaxaca, Mexico, and Honduras. Their mission work primarily provided cataract surgeries, as well as complete eye exams and treatments, for those in need. She continued her mission work traveling to Guatemala in 2007 with the San Francisco-based group, Hospital de la Familia, and looks forward to returning in both early and late 2009.
Dr. Stoumbos is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Outside of the practice, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 24 years and their two children traveling, hiking and camping. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, teaching Greek folk dance through her church, and raising tropical fish, which patients enjoy observing in the Good Samaritan clinic.
