Daniel B. Brown, M.D.

Dr. Daniel Brown was born, raised, and educated in Wisconsin. In 1983, he graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Following graduation he held positions with the LaCrosse County Health Department and in scientific research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He entered the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Medical School in 1988 and graduated in 1992.

The year after medical school was spent doing ophthalmic laser research at The Eye Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. His Transitional Medicine Internship year was at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee and he returned to The Eye Institute in Milwaukee for his Ophthalmology Residency graduating in 1997. He then moved to Yuma, AZ and worked for Southwestern Eye Center from 1997-2000.

In 2000, Dr. Brown moved to Portland, OR to join The Oregon Eye Specialists and currently serves patients in our St. Vincent clinic located in the hospital's medical office building. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Brown met his wife, Karin, while in Medical School and they love the Portland area. His recreational interests include most outdoor activities including hiking, camping, sailing, biking, and skiing.
